our LEADERSHIP
Under the direction of Pastor Jason Filler at Bible Baptist church. STRiV has an extraordinary leadership team. Our primary leader is Brother Andrew Brown. He is also assisted Kris Brown and Brother Jordan McCarty .
Our leaders strive to lead exemplary Christian lifestyles. Between the leadership there are over 40 years of experience working with young people and activities. Bible Baptist Church and STRiV have mandatory conditions that must be met before anyone is allowed to work with teens; thus insuring the security of our teens.

THEME VERSE:
Luke 13:24 “Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.”
A Short History
STRiV was founded November 4th, 2009; with the intension of providing a Godly spiritual growing atmosphere for teenagers in Brookings County. We had humble beginnings of just 4 teens, but God began to work and within 6 months STRiV had already seen 10 salvations and over 50 visitors enter through our doors. Since those days STRiV has seen much growth - not only in size - but in it's foundational principles being reflected in our attending teen's lives.
Who We Are
STRiV is the collection of teens in Bible Baptist Church. We meet at our weekly sessions. Sunday School, and our youth activities. Our name STRiV (pronounced as strive (|strīv|)) stands for Surrendered Teens Restored in Virtue - and depicts our goal to bring back virtue to this next generation.
strive |strīv|
verb ( past strove |strōv| or strived ; past participle striven |strivən| or strived ) [ no obj. ]
• make great efforts to achieve or obtain something
• struggle or fight vigorously
It goes without saying as our teens must daily strive to obtain a virtuous life and it is only through persevering with Christ and avoiding obstacles that this world throws our way, that true virtue can be attained.
More about Bro. Andy
"I was blessed to grow up in a very Godly Christian home. I was saved early in life at the age of 7. I grew up going to church every time the church doors were open, and at the age of 8 I felt a call to be in the ministry. Unfortunately as I grew older into my teenage years - I began to notice how few "Christian" friends I had, and among those that used the title "Christian" very few knew the true meaning. After attending some time at Golden State Baptist College - It was then I knew that my "calling" was not to a foreign field but at my home church - Bible Baptist Church. I did not know in what capacity God could use me, but I was open for anything. As time passed, remembering the lack of Christian development offered as an outreach for teens, I began to get a burden for the local teen ministry. It was not soon after that God opened doors for STRiV to begin and at the forement of my mind was pointing teens to Christ, only Christ can save this generation! Seeing first hand growing up what mistakes teens can make - I wanted the goal of STRiV, not only to get them into a Christian environment, but to let Christ impact their lives that they can avoid the turmoil and heartbreak this generation offers. I love the teens and they know that no matter what, if they need a person to turn to - I will be there!" - Brother Andrew Brown
